Open WebUI can read your fivebar stats over MCP, and answer questions about them.

Ask it about your sites in your own words, such as why traffic jumped on Tuesday, and it answers from your figures, following fivebar’s rules about what they mean. Connecting is adding fivebar’s address, signing in and choosing Allow, with no key to copy.

Before you start

Open WebUI 0.6.31 or later, and an admin account: only an admin can add an MCP server. Set WEBUI_SECRET_KEY before you do, or fivebar’s connection breaks each time Open WebUI restarts.

Add fivebar

  1. Sign in to Open WebUI as an admin, and open Settings, Admin, then Integrations.
  2. Under External Tool Servers, choose + Add Connection.
  3. Set Type to MCP (Streamable HTTP) and the URL to https://fiveb.ar/api/mcp.
  4. Set Auth to OAuth 2.1, choose Register Client, then Save.

Each person signs in for themselves. In a chat, choose +, then Integrations, Tools, and turn fivebar on. Open WebUI opens fivebar in your browser: finish there, in the same browser, at the address you reach Open WebUI by.

fivebar opens in your browser. Sign in if you need to, check that the page names Open WebUI, and choose Allow. Open WebUI can then read the stats of every site on your Sites page, and changes nothing of yours unless you also tick the box to let it change settings.

Try it

Turn fivebar on in each chat you want it in. Open WebUI can’t make a tool that signs in this way a model’s default, so it doesn’t start on.

Ask Open WebUI about your sites in your own words, such as:

Removing it

In Settings, Admin, Integrations, delete or disable fivebar’s connection under External Tool Servers.

To stop Open WebUI reading your stats from fivebar’s side, disconnect it in Settings.

Good to know

What each person allows is kept against their own account in Open WebUI, and no one else inherits it, so each reads their own sites, and public ones.
