ChatGPT can read your fivebar stats over MCP, and answer questions about them.

Ask it about your sites in your own words, such as why traffic jumped on Tuesday, and it answers from your figures, following fivebar’s rules about what they mean. Connecting is adding fivebar’s address, signing in and choosing Allow, with no key to copy.

Before you start

A Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan, and ChatGPT on the web: apps you add yourself aren’t in the mobile apps. On Business, Enterprise and Edu, an admin allows developer mode for the workspace first, and on Business only admins and owners can use it.

Add fivebar

  1. Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT’s settings. OpenAI is moving it, so look under Security and login, or under Apps, then Advanced settings.
  2. Go to ChatGPT’s plugins, called apps in some accounts, and choose + to create one.
  3. Name it fivebar, and give it the address https://fiveb.ar/api/mcp, signing in with OAuth.
  4. Create it. ChatGPT finds fivebar’s tools, and lists fivebar among its drafts.

ChatGPT asks you to sign in to fivebar as it creates the app.

fivebar opens in your browser. Sign in if you need to, check that the page names ChatGPT, and choose Allow. ChatGPT can then read the stats of every site on your Sites page, and changes nothing of yours unless you also tick the box to let it change settings.

Try it

In a chat, choose Developer mode from the + menu, and select fivebar.

Ask ChatGPT about your sites in your own words, such as:

Removing it

Delete fivebar where you created it, among ChatGPT’s plugins or apps.

To stop ChatGPT reading your stats from fivebar’s side, disconnect it in Settings.

Good to know

Deep research can read fivebar too. Agent mode doesn’t use apps you add yourself.
