Sharing a site
Invite someone by email to see a site’s stats, or to change its settings too.
Share a site with someone by inviting their email address from its settings. They see it on their own Sites page, in their own groups, with their own email reports and API tokens. The account that added a site is its owner. The owner pays for it: sharing costs nothing more, and nobody it’s shared with needs a plan to see it.

Everyone a site is shared with sees its settings. A viewer sees their email reports and its group, then a summary of the rest, without its tracking code or the people it’s shared with.
Inviting someone
In the site’s settings, under People, type their email address, choose Editor or Viewer, and choose
Invite. fivebar emails them a link from login@email.fiveb.ar, naming you, the site and the role.
Inviting the same address again sends a new link, and the old one stops working.
People lists everyone the site is shared with and the invites waiting, each of which its owner or an editor can cancel. An account can send 20 invites a day, an address can be sent 10, and a site can have 50 waiting. While the account that pays for a site has no plan, nobody can be invited to it.
Accepting an invite
The link opens a page saying who invited you, to which site and as what. Opening the link doesn’t use it up. If the address it was sent to has an account, sign in as it first, and the page then has an Accept button. If it has none, Accept makes the account and signs you in. Accepting opens the site’s dashboard, and the site is in your first group on Sites.
A link stops working once it’s used, cancelled or 7 days old, or once whoever sent it can no longer invite people to the site. A site shared with you doesn’t count towards the 1,024 sites your account can add.
Changing a role or removing someone
Only the owner can, under People: Make editor or Make viewer changes someone’s role at once, and Remove takes the site off their Sites page, with their email reports of it, and out of their API tokens. The invites they sent that are still waiting are cancelled, as are an editor’s made a viewer.
Leaving a site
Anyone but the owner can take a site off their own Sites page with Leave this site, at the end of its settings, as if the owner removed them. Seeing it again takes a new invite.
The owner can’t leave a site, only delete it, which deletes it for everyone: see Deleting a site.
Apps and API tokens
An app connected over MCP reads every site shared with you, and list_sites gives your role on
each. An app you let change settings changes them only on a site you own
or edit, but its group on any. No app or token can invite, remove or change anyone’s role.
An API token made for all your sites reads a shared site once you accept it, and stops when you leave or are removed. See What a token reads.
If the owner deletes their account
The site passes to the editor who has held it longest, or with no editor, the viewer who has, who becomes its owner. Their account pays for it from then, as the Terms say, and they’re emailed to say so. While it has no plan, the site’s stats are paused for everyone it’s shared with.
