# fivebar > AI-first web analytics: dashboards when you want to look, an AI agent when you want to know why. No cookies, no personal data. A visitor is counted once a day, on the site’s own day, so over a range visitors are visitor-days, not unique people, and don’t add up across sites. fivebar’s MCP server is at https://fiveb.ar/api/mcp: add it to an app as a remote MCP server, sign in and choose Allow. Whether fivebar itself is working is at https://status.fiveb.ar, checked every minute from outside its own servers, as JSON at https://status.fiveb.ar/status.json: when a site’s figures dip, look there first. Every page here is also Markdown, at its own address with .md on the end. The API is described in OpenAPI 3.1 at https://fiveb.ar/api/openapi.json. ## Installing - [Getting started](https://fiveb.ar/docs/install.md): Add your site, put the tag on every page, and check it’s counting. - [Installation checker](https://fiveb.ar/docs/install/checker.md): Check your site’s tag and Content Security Policy, and see what to change if the script can’t run. - [Coding assistants](https://fiveb.ar/docs/coding-assistants.md): Have an AI coding assistant, such as Claude Code or Cursor, add fivebar to your site and check it works. - [Platforms](https://fiveb.ar/docs/platforms.md): Where the tag goes on WordPress, Shopify, Next.js and other platforms, and in Google Tag Manager and other tag managers. - [Proxying](https://fiveb.ar/docs/proxy.md): Serve the script from your own domain, through Cloudflare, Vercel, nginx and others, so content blockers let it through. - [Server events](https://fiveb.ar/docs/server-events.md): Count each call to an API or an MCP server, sent by its own server with an API token. - [Server event examples](https://fiveb.ar/docs/server-events/examples.md): Send a server event from curl, Python, Node or an MCP server. - [Script attributes](https://fiveb.ar/docs/script-attributes.md): Every attribute the script tag reads, from data-domain to data-api, and what each does. - [Single-page apps](https://fiveb.ar/docs/single-page-apps.md): How fivebar counts each page of a single-page app, with nothing extra to set up. ## Counting more - [Custom events](https://fiveb.ar/docs/events.md): Send an event from a page with tally(), or from a click with a data-tally attribute. - [Goals](https://fiveb.ar/docs/goals.md): Count what visitors do, such as signing up, and see how many visits convert. - [Outbound links and downloads](https://fiveb.ar/docs/outbound-and-downloads.md): Links to other sites and file downloads, counted with nothing to set up. - [Download extensions](https://fiveb.ar/docs/outbound-and-downloads/download-extensions.md): All 390 file extensions that make a link count as a download. - [Custom properties](https://fiveb.ar/docs/properties.md): Label pages with their author, type or anything else, and see each as a pane. - [Site search](https://fiveb.ar/docs/site-search.md): See what visitors search your site for, and which searches found nothing. - [Error pages](https://fiveb.ar/docs/error-pages.md): How fivebar tells error pages, such as 404s, from the rest, and the attribute Safari needs. - [A/B tests](https://fiveb.ar/docs/ab-tests.md): Label each variant of a test, then compare their conversion rates, bounce rates and speed. ## The dashboard - [Metrics](https://fiveb.ar/docs/metrics.md): What each figure on the dashboard counts, from pageviews and visitors to bounce rate and visit duration. - [Date ranges](https://fiveb.ar/docs/date-ranges.md): Choose the dates the dashboard shows, from a preset range to custom dates, and step between periods. - [Panes](https://fiveb.ar/docs/panes.md): What each pane on the dashboard lists, where its values come from, and the full view each opens. - [Filters](https://fiveb.ar/docs/filters.md): Narrow the whole dashboard to one page, source, country or any other value, up to six at once. - [Sources and campaigns](https://fiveb.ar/docs/sources-and-campaigns.md): Where visits come from: sources, channels and the utm_ tags on your links. - [Page speed](https://fiveb.ar/docs/speed.md): How fast pages load for your visitors: TTFB, LCP, INP and more, at the 75th percentile. - [Engagement](https://fiveb.ar/docs/engagement.md): How long each page was on screen and how far down it was read. - [Bots](https://fiveb.ar/docs/bots.md): What fivebar takes for a bot, left out of every other figure, and the Bots page that shows them. ## Your sites - [Sites](https://fiveb.ar/docs/sites.md): Add a site, switch between your sites, and change each one’s settings. - [Importing history](https://fiveb.ar/docs/importing.md): Bring a site’s history over from another tool, and how its imported days count. - [Sharing a site](https://fiveb.ar/docs/sharing.md): Invite people to a site by email, as editors or viewers, and what each role can do. - [Email reports](https://fiveb.ar/docs/email-reports.md): Have a site’s stats emailed to you each week, each month or both. - [Public stats](https://fiveb.ar/docs/public-stats.md): Let anyone see a site’s dashboard without signing in, and what stays private. - [Excluding traffic](https://fiveb.ar/docs/excluding-traffic.md): Leave visits out of a site’s counts by IP address, network or country. Bots are already kept apart. - [Exporting stats](https://fiveb.ar/docs/export.md): Download a site’s stats as daily CSV files that Plausible and other tools import. - [Your account](https://fiveb.ar/docs/account.md): Sign up, choose a plan, sign in with a link emailed to you or a passkey, and manage your account’s settings, connected apps, API tokens and passkeys. ## Apps and the API - [Connecting apps](https://fiveb.ar/docs/mcp.md): Connect Claude, ChatGPT, your editor or any app that speaks MCP to your fivebar stats. - [API](https://fiveb.ar/docs/api.md): Read your sites’ stats as JSON, and list, add and check sites, with an API token for your scripts. ## About fivebar - [Our bot](https://fiveb.ar/docs/bot.md): What fivebar fetches from other people’s sites, how often, and how to refuse it. - [Brand](https://fiveb.ar/docs/brand.md): How to write fivebar’s name, its logo to download, and its colours and type. - [Privacy](https://fiveb.ar/privacy/index.md): What fivebar keeps about visitors and about you, where, for how long, and who else handles it. - [Infrastructure](https://fiveb.ar/docs/infrastructure.md): Where fivebar keeps your data and your visitors’, and for how long. ## Pricing - [Pricing](https://fiveb.ar/pricing/index.md): One plan, priced by pageviews, with every feature in it.
